The term e-mobility covers all forms of transportation that are based on electricity. This means that the engine is not powered by fossil fuels, but by electricity. The best-known e-vehicles include

According to the Federal Network Agency, 85,072 normal charging points and an additional 20,507 fast charging points are currently in operation (as of 09/23). As more and more people switch to electric vehicles, more charging points and stations will be needed in the future. For this reason, the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport will continue to provide funding to support the development of publicly accessible charging infrastructure until 2025.
A standard socket only provides an output of 2.7KW. For a range of 100 km, the charging process takes around 7 hours. A high-voltage power supply with 16A per phase already provides 11KW, so that 30 minutes (e.g. during a shopping trip or a visit to the doctor) already 'bring' a range of 30 kilometers.
